New Zealand’s much loved reality TV show The Block NZ has returned for their seventh season on air. Four groups of contestants from various parts of the country have been selected to spend a few months renovating an Auckland home ready to auction off to the highest bidder. Located in one of Auckland’s new subdivisions, Hobsonville Point, the teams each have a townhouse to prepare for auction. These homes will become part of the 4,500 houses being developed into a community on a peninsula of the Waitemata Harbour.
OceanWeave have become one of the product sponsors for the fourth year in a row. Contestants were given the opportunity to win $5,000 worth of outdoor furniture for their outdoor rooms. The prize was split between Chlo and Em from the purple team and also Ben and Tom from the blue team.
Hailing from Palmerston North, Chlo and Em share their origins with OceanWeave’s very own Luke Pearce, who delivered their furniture. With limited budget, the girls welcomed the prize and made it the central feature of their outdoor space. They selected a Teak outdoor dining table along with the classic Rio outdoor dining chairs. The judges described the Rio dining chairs as a “timeless style” which matched nicely to their outdoor space.
All of OceanWeave’s outdoor furniture has been crafted to a commercial standard to handle the elements of the outdoors and also continual usage. Whether the sun or rain makes its way into this outdoor room, the outdoor furniture has been specifically built to endure through this.
Once the townhouses are completed they will be auctioned off. OceanWeave wish all the teams the best of luck and trust the new owners will enjoy their outdoor furniture for many years to come.
