The Sheraton Hotel and Resort group are an internationally recognisable brand with a wide portfolio of stunning locations. They currently have three beautiful resorts situated in Fiji including the Sheraton Denarau Villas, located on Denarau Island. This fully equipped 5-star resort keeps up the luxurious standard that Sheraton are known for.
Sheraton Denarau Villas offer three 5-star quality restaurants, one of which is The Wet Edge, set upon the Nadi Bay waterfront. Offering stunning coastal views, the bar and restaurant is a beautiful relaxing environment ideal for a light lunch or casual dinner. Located alongside their horizon swimming pool, The Wet Edge features a swim-up bar for guests to enjoy a beverage while in the pool. In a recent upgrade, the resort recently required the replacement of their outdoor furniture at the restaurant, which saw the addition of brand new outdoor dining furniture from OceanWeave.
OceanWeave are an Auckland based company, supplying premium quality outdoor furniture both locally and worldwide. With a variety of outdoor furniture collections available in different pieces, styles, materials and sizes; their range is suitable for both residential and commercial customers.
The Wet Edge opted for a fresh white aluminium dining set from OceanWeave’s commercial range. The square aluminium tables have a classic white slat design, finished with a frosted tempered glass over the top. Paired with the tables were the Athens dining chairs, which match the slatted style of the table top. They also feature sleek teak arms, with the wooden look perfectly complementing the deck of the restaurant.
Like all of OceanWeave’s ranges, this outdoor furniture set has been designed to remain outdoors permanently. The chairs and table have been crafted from a heavy duty white powder coated aluminium which will not rust in the rain, nor will it bend or buckle. For comfort there are outdoor cushions on the chair which use a special quick drying foam that allows water to drain easily and rapidly, so that guests can use them soon after water exposure. Covering the cushions is a high quality coal coloured fabric from market leader Sunbrella. This premium fabric has been designed to resist rot, material breakdown and fading in constant sun exposure.
The three Sheratons in Fiji already have a number of outdoor umbrellas from New Zealand company Shade7, who own the OceanWeave brand. Both the outdoor umbrellas and furniture are showcased together at The Wet Edge.
OceanWeave’s furniture is the perfect solution for outdoor commercial settings and is gaining further momentum in the Pacific Islands. The Moana Sands Lagoon Resort in the Cook Islands are another resort to have invested in some outdoor dining furniture for their on-site restaurant.
